Hi again.. and maybe goodbye?

It's been a pretty long time since I was last on here. My life is frankly too hectic for a blog at the moment, and I decided that instead of feeling bad that I wasn't posting, I'd just pack it in for a while. I may come back to it all, but, well... we'll see.

Meanwhile, I have been forced into getting a tumblr by my pallys, which in my mind is a cop out excuse of a blog, but ultimately I am quite enjoying it. So if you want to see many many pictures of pretty much every film/TV show I love (think Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, Merlin, the Hobbit (OH MY GOD THE HOBBIT'S NEARLY OUT I CAN'T BREATH)) then maybe have a look, right here.

Okely dokely, possiblos write soon, but don't expect too much!
Lots and lots of love...

P.S. sorry for not reading anyone's blog for aaagggeeess, but you know, there's only 24 hours in a day and all and I just do not have time!

Yes, I know. I didn't blog on Friday... Or Sunday.. Or Tuesday for that matter.. I am just a pretty awful blogger.
It's just, life is getting in the way! I don't want to make excuses, although to be honest this whole post is just one great excuse, but I just don't have time to blog regularly! I thought that if I set myself specific days, then I would easily be able to fit it in, but obviously not...
I will try to blog, at least once a week, more if I can manage it, less if I can't. To be fair, you all probably don't care either which way, but still..

I do love you, and I will try! I mean, I've yet to do a post about Downton Abbey, which started on Sunday and is just the best thing ever and afjkdafjalfajaf;ljlejofi!!!

Love you!

TV this Autumn

Jeez, it Tuesday already! This regular blogging malarkey is not as easy as it sounds...

I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Well, probably not, as it's a Tuesday... I know Mondays are bad, but I actually think Tuesdays are worst of all, just because they are so, Tuesdayish I suppose.

However, there is one thing that gets me through Tuesdays... The Great British Bake Off!!! It is so good.. (I am fully aware that I am sounding like a complete psychopath, but stay with me). I mean, they do baking in a tent! What more could you want in a programme? What's that? Oh, you want there to be a shot of a squirrel with giant balls, oh wait, they have that too!!

And it's not just Bake Off.... There's so much great TV on at the moment I literally am not
leaving the house (not that I have anywhere to go anyway, but it's the thought that counts).
I mean, just look at this line up: Doc Martin, Waterloo Road, QI,
Strictly Come Dancing (although I have to admit the line up is not great this year) and Downton Abbey is coming on Sunday!!!
Also, I have seen adverts for Sherlock!!!!!! And a new programme called Atlantis which looks as though it'll continue down the Robin Hood, Merlin theme, AND a very funny looking new James Cordon one called The Wrong Mans!!!
I am in television bliss...

Love you!

Songs I LOVE!

Soooooo, here we are! My first music post! 2 posts in one day, damn I must love you guys!

I need music on a Sunday. 'Homework music' I call it, as generally I end up doing all my homework last thing on a Sunday. But, if you're lucky enough to not have to do homework on a Sunday, and just spend Sundays watching 'Ella Enchanted' and 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' back to back (which is what I was doing today, as it is the beginning of term and I got my shit together and did my homework yesterday!) then hey, just have a listen to some great music anyway!

Here they are then, just a few songs I am currently in love with at the moment:

Knights of Cydonia - Muse

I did some excellent lip syncing to this when I was out the other day, complete with air guitar and drums... The people in the office block next to me gave me some funny looks, but hey, it's Muse!

212 - Azaelia Banks

I must admit I hated this song when it came out. But it's grown on me, and I frankly am quite in love with it now.

And finally, the Russian Easter Overture Op. 36 - Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov

I'm not usually a fan of listening to classical music, but I enjoy playing it, and I am playing this piece with my orchestra, and it is beautiful.. just, give it a listen...

So that's it for today! I will be posting again, hopefully on Tuesday!
Love you!

Now... I am very aware that I have been neglecting this blog for several weeks, and I am truly sorry! I have many many many ideas for blog posts, but school's started, and I've got masses of homework, and I've got more commitments than ever and blah blah blah excuses excuses excuses...

Anyhoo, because of all this, I have decided that if I am ever going to post anything on this blog then I will have to start doing a sort of regular schedule. So, there will (hopefully) be 3 posts a week, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. AAAaaaaannnnndddd, there will be very vague 'themes', WHICH WILL BE (drum roll please) (imagine these being said by X-factor voice over man) MUSIC (Sundays), LISTOMANIA (Fridays) and RANDOM SHIT ( I think you can probably work out which day this is on).

I hope this doesn't sound like it's going to be boring... I just feel really bad about not posting, and all I'm hoping is that this will help me out!

Love you all!

West Coast is the Best Coast!

Helloooooo!! I'm back! Did you miss me?

I have been away on an uh-maze-ing 3-week holiday in the USA mit meine familie! We visited about a million places in California, Nevada and Arizona so it was very busy and tiring, but incredible as we got to see so much!

Now, this would be an excessively long and boring post if I attempted to describe every place I went to in extreme detail, so I'm going to try and just do one sentence about each! List time...

San Francisco - I loved pretty much everything about this city, Golden Gate Bridge, the bay, the streets, it was all great except for the horrid people who sold me a duff disposable camera and wouldn't give me a refund (I'm still fuming...) However, overall this was my favourite city (already broken the 1 sentence rule.. oops!)

Monterey/Big Sur - The drive along the coast was fabulous!

LA - Apparently it is possible to get into Hollywood even if you're not famous! (when I was younger, i.e. a few months ago, I thought there was a locked gate, and guard dogs and things to stop 'normal' people going in)

San Diego - San Diego Zoo is literally the best zoo I have ever been to. I saw a polar bear do a poo and then divebomb into the water holding a bag of carrots, what more could you want?

Joshua Tree National Park - yep, I'd never heard of it either, but it was a pretty cool desert, although cool might not be the best word to describe it, as it was boiling hot!

The Grand Canyon - It was a canyon.. and it was very grand! I also nearly died (slight exaggeration) in a thunderstorm! I've never seen so much lightening in my life!

Las Vegas - After queuing in a 3 mile long traffic jam for 2 hours just because there were some men putting out a few cones, we arrived at Vegas to find that it was pouring it down. I am not a party person, and the casinos creeped me out, so Vegas was not my favourite place in the world..

Death Valley - Death Valley is one of the hottest, driest places in the world, yet at first we couldn't get in as the road was flooded!! We finally managed to get in another way, and it was very impressive, although very very hot!

Sequoia National Park - I saw the biggest tree IN THE WORLD!!!!

Yosemite National Park - Despite the giant wildfire which was just 9 miles away from our campsite, I had a really great time, and there was lots of amazing scenery!

So yes, that's my holiday in a (very large) nutshell! I just loved America, the places, the scenery, and especially the people (I need to do a whole other post about the people!).

I promise to put up some photos of my trip when I have sorted the camera out! I hope you've all had equally great summers!

Ta ta for now!
